well. long time no update.
i passed my HNC in 3D Computer Animation (YASS) and i'm three months into my HND.
hating it.
not really.
but, as usual, i haven't made things easy for myself.
i'm only updating my deviantart to procrastinate.
i suppose i have done some things recently that i'm pleased with though - which makes a nice change. despite the large amount of stress i've put myself under, i'm feeling more creative than i have for a long long time. i've started drawing for fun again - i'm still rusty as hell and it will take a lot of getting used to again.
but i've made a start and that's the important thing.
now i just need to get this college work back on track before i forget the reason i love animation so much and lose all hope and drop out and die miserable and unmotivated.
slight exaggeration. but seriously.
i better get a shake on!

megaquick catch up!
almost at the end of my first semester of college, goodtimes! dying for a holiday now.
as well as chillaxing for a while, i plan on updating this with some college stuff during the holidays. and i'd like to get back into proper drawing again, i feel out of practice and i don't want to get worse than i already have no doubt.
this will do for now, i'm currently pulling ANOTHER all nighter to crack on with essays and i'm feeling a little bit stressed. ugh. Creative Industries is boring and i'm so glad i don't have to do it next semester.

week two of animation is over.
this week's brief was very similar to last weeks: create a 30 second (300 frame) stop motion animation, and record a full 30 seconds of sound with all the sounds at the right frames to coincide with the animation. NIGHTMARE.
monday seemed quite disasterous - Andrew wasn't in until 1, and even then, he had a class to go to. then when he got back, Eriks, Jordan and Allan had a class and disappeared. this left me and Liam as the sole members of the group all day and our pitch went disasterously. i was feeling down about it because i felt like none of our ideas would work. ALSO our art teacher didn't turn up AGAIN

not written in this for a wee while..
just finished my first week doing Animation at Dundee College, woo.
we were given a brief for our Induction Project which was to plan and make a 45 second long stop-motion animation (450 frames). the HNDs in our group were to record the sound using a zoom recorder and the rest of the group were to take 450 photos IN SEQUENCE with no deleting or shuffling the order.
i'd post the finished animation here, because it didn't go to plan and it's actually hilarious, but Aaron and Henry didn't let us have a copy.

finally activated my MySQA and had a wee look at all my past results.
then i see this wee window at the bottom of the page: "failed units".
i expected to see RMPS because i failed that a few years ago, but no.

WHAT IS THIS FUCKERY?
basically, it says i've failed my minor advanced higher unit.
i really started to panic when i saw this, then i clicked on "show dates" and it said 14/04/2011 beside it.
before i was thinking "well the SQA has already marked it, so i guess they might have just put it up early", but they hadn't marked anything by then..

I'm procrasting hard as well and not actually doing any proper work (well I am, but I can't upload it because I don't have an A2 scanner like most people)
I will be pleasantly surprised if I get into Abertay, but Cali and RGU look decent as well.
